What is juice cleansing?

Juice cleansing assists the body’s natural cleansing systems to relieve the digestive system and release toxins from the body.  

 

Is it essential?  Don’t our bodies clean themselves?

Our bodies naturally expel unnecessary or harmful materials, but our modern lifestyle poses challenges that the body has never faced historically.  Air pollution and industrial foods alone introduce huge amounts of toxins into the body and our inherent systems have trouble keeping up.  Juice cleansing helps boost our body’s natural cleaning system while receiving the digestive system of the daily burden of processing unnatural materials. 

 

 

Is a juice cleanse appropriate for everyone?

Juice cleanses are suitable for most individuals but certainly not all.  It is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, nor for children or the elderly.  In any case, you should consult your doctor before starting your cleanse.     

 

 

Can I continue with my everyday life during the cleanse?

Our cleanse program provides the body with essential nutrients so you can proceed with your normal life. We deliver to homes and offices so the cleanse can be easily integrated into your normal routine.  

 

 

Is it possible to do physical activity while cleansing?

Moderate physical activity actually assists with the cleanse.  However, if you are accustomed to a rigorous exercise routine, we recommend a “downshift” during the cleanse - yoga, swimming, walking or stretching. You will likely experience a dip in energy and therefore rigorous exercise is not recommended.  

 

 

Won’t I feel hungry?

Although the juices provide the body with sufficient nutrition and calories, you may occasionally miss the feeling of chewing solid food.  Drink plenty of natural mineral water or unsweetened herbal tea to help you through the challenging moments. 

 

 

How should I prepare the plan?

The cleaning programs will join the pages of detailed information including a detailed explanation for each day cleaning. Information sheets guidelines on how to prepare for detoxification. Three days before the start of the cleaning program is recommended to start to drink lots of water, as well as reduce industrial foods, animal foods, sweets, and alcohol and caffeine increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and legumes.

 

How will I feel during the cleanse?

The cleansing process is a personal experience.  Some people feel more energetic and focused than ever before, while others experience fatigue and headaches.  In either case, it is a sign that the body is re-booting and ridding the body of toxins.  Just remember to drink plenty of water during the cleanse to help with side effects.

 

 

How should I return to normal following the cleanse? 

The idea of a cleanse is to replace bad habits with new, good ones.  Cravings for sugar, fat and salt decrease during the cleanse, so you will naturally crave healthy foods afterwards.  Continue with at least one green juice a day for several days following the cleanse, while gradually returning to a normal diet, starting first with vegetables, fruits and whole grains.  

 

 

Will I lose weight during the cleanse?

Weight loss is not the central goal of the cleanse.  Think of it more as a way to re-boot the body and kick-start a new lifestyle, new habits and a new diet.  While many people do experience weight loss during the cleanse, the real results can be found afterwards once cravings are kicked and you establish a healthier daily routine. 

 

 

How often should I cleanse?

The general recommendation is to cleanse once every six months, but it is entirely according to the individual and depends on your lifestyle. We are confident that after you finish the first program you will kno wand feel when your body asks for it again.

What side effects can I expect?

Some people feel headaches, dizziness and fatigue. This is quite normal and typical especially for the first day. Rest and drink plenty of water and and these side effects usually pass quickly.  Following our preparation guidelines will also help reduce side effects significantly.

 

 

Can I eat during my cleanse?

We recommend that you stick to the cleanse program as closely as possible, but it is also important to listen to your body. If you are convinced that your body needs something more, we recommend half an avocado with a little lemon or a small salad. Our dietician will be happy to advise you in these moments.  .

 

 

How do I prepare?

In order to make your cleanse as smooth and effective as possible, it is essential to prepare.  For the several days leading up to the cleanse, you should gradually reduce the intake of all addictives: caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and processed foods.  We send detailed instructions for the preparation after registration.
